Veterinary practice management has evolved into a specialty of its own, with unique skills and leadership qualities that are needed to support the demands of a professional small business. The success of the Practice Manager, and ultimately the practice itself, is directly related to the hospital owner’s desire and ability to release the control of the practice to a qualified individual. It is vital that the education, resources and support be present for the manager to be successful.

The Veterinary Practice Management Series is for Managers, Coordinators, Administrators and who are given the opportunity and are motivated to develop the necessary skill sets to fulfil a versatile administrative role of within a busy veterinary practice. With the completion of this program you will gain practical knowledge you can use right away and receive recognition for the skills and achievements you demonstrate from the owner or managing veterinarian.

Our combination of in-hospital training and workbook information will set the pace for your learning but generally we expect the program session to run for 3 to 4 months. It is divided in sections and each section can be taken based on its relevance to the practice or the entire program series can be taken over a span of 12-18 months.

There are no written or oral examinations; assessment is through completion and submission of established tasks throughout the training period leading to the completion of a program session, which is reviewed for a final assessment.

It is important to have access to Microsoft Office and the ability to use email along with the access to the Internet. Before choosing a session, an initial orientation and familiarization of the practice is completed to improve your results and learning outcomes. Practical aspects of role and your work environment are assessed and the best method to assist you through the process is recommended. We are with you through the entire learning and hands-on process. The owner gets a return on investment for your continued development as your new skills are utilized to grow the practice while we are with you and beyond.
